    Pamela Asai
    Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Pamela Asai is a visual artist and poet. She exhibits regularly and has published two books of haiku-style poetry with Blurb - Ash in 2018 and Uneven Verse in 2022. Asai is inspired by the natural world and the seasons, by Buddhism, Japanese art and culture and the poetry and beauty found in ordinary daily life. Her work is quiet, meditative and timeless, while being grounded in the details of the here and now. Both books encourage the reader to slow down, breath, listen, notice and be grateful for small things.
