    About the Ebook

A photographer's creative vision and interpretation of the Hocking Hills of Southeastern Ohio. Jim Crotty discovered his passion for nature and landscape photography when he first visited Hocking Hills State Park in the winter of 1980. He has since returned, again and again, to refine his art and rediscover the spirit and soul of a haunted landscape that sits on the edge of the Appalachian foothills. This volume includes a narrative essay by the artist photographer on both Hocking Hills and The Inn at Cedar Falls as well as his calming and peaceful imagery captured through the seasons from spring 2009 through fall 2011.

The art of light and the beauty of connection - to the landscape, nature, and the positive flow and exchange of creative energy. Photography has been my primary route to connecting with the world and life around me since I first picked up my first SLR camera in the 1970s and headed into the woods behind my childhood home in Ohio. I currently live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Management from The University of Dayton and a Master of Professional Communication from Westminster College of Salt Lake City. I am also a doctoral candidate, working toward my Doctor of Professional Studies in Instructional Design Leadership at Franklin University. I have also presented my photography to groups and organizations, and my photographs have been published in National Wildlife, USA Today, The Smithsonian, and other publications, including several book covers.
