About the Book
This is the third in an ongoing series of a national treasure we have in Val Verde County. The 50 mile radius around the confluence of the Pecos, Rio Grand and Devils River has been occupied for over 10,000 years and beginning about 2,500 BC the ancients began painting pictographs on the shelter walls. These are the oldest in North America and constitute our Oldest Library with each shelter over 300 a book in that library. Sites in this book have likely never been photographed or visited by archeologist before.

Capturing the emotion of the moment or place and incorporating all the technical components of composition, exposure, light, design elements, focus, DOF and digital darkroom work are utilized and important in my work.
