Siphokazi Bhengu Levine is a South African-born author passionate about preserving language and culture through storytelling. Drawing from her journalism background and love of children’s literature, she creates bilingual English–Zulu picture books that celebrate identity, family, and the joy of learning. Lelo’s Lost Shoe / Isicathulo sikaLelo esilahlekile is her debut title, inspired by her belief that every child deserves to see themselves in a story.

She now lives in the United States, where she continues to write and build the Lelo and Friends series for young readers everywhere.
