Ariel Kostrna, born in 1993, debuted her first musical, My Traitor, in October 2023. It was produced by Clarion Theatre Company at the Rogue Auditorium in Grants Pass, OR. Ariel was raised by two talented musicians who brought her and her sister up in the theatre world, with Ariel performing in her first musical at age 11.

She wrote her first song at age 6, and discovered her love for writing stories at approximately the same time. Ariel has played piano, trombone, dabbled with the bass recorder, sang with a jazz band, and performed in 21 theatrical productions to date.

After the success of My Traitor, Ariel is excited to continue honing her skills at the
craft of writing musicals, and is already working on her next one. Her first priorities though, are her two children, ages 3 and 5. She lives in Grants Pass where she works part-time as a drone video editor, and bellydance instructor at a fitness center. Her hobbies outside of theatre included Tai Chi, theology, and board games.
