Donise English works abstractly
in both painting and sculpture and has
had over eighty exhibitions in academic
institutions, museums and galleries
throughout the United States. She is
currently a Professor of Studio Art at
Marist College and Coordinator of the
Interior Design Program at Marist’s branch
campus, Instituto Lorenzo de’Medici in
Florence Italy.

“The process of working in encaustic
painting or on sculptures of hand-stitched
paper soaked in wax allows me to explore
my ongoing interest in the sense of touch
and the way that it embeds itself in, and
indelibly records, human involvement in an
object’s making”.
