    Rosalie is the great grand daughter of George Horrell who immigrated to NZ in 1880. His brother John came out on the Charlotte Jane, one of the first four ships into Lyttelton. She was 80 years old at the time of publishing (2014). She is now retired in Gore and her energy and enthusiasm for collecting and preserving the memories of her relatives and ancestors is endless. She has a keen interest in local history and genealogy and has co-written two previous books: -Balfour: Pioneers to Present -Steam in The Blood: George Northcoat and Friends
