About the Creator
Architect Richardson Robertson III is the recipient of the prestigious 'Star of Design 2003,' Los Angeles architect of the year 2003. A recent Robertson Partners project received the 'Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres,' France's highest cultural award. The excellence of Mr. Robertson's work is widely recognized and has been featured is such magazines as 'House & Garden,' 'The Robb Report,' ' Town & Country,' 'Vanity Fair,' as well as in such European magazines as 'The Tattler' (Great Britain) and 'Point de Vue' (France). He has been a Visiting Lecturer at UCLA and Stanford University. 'New Beaux Arts' is the term Robertson applies to his work. He believes that the historic forms and concepts, which influenced the Pre-Modernist past, should inform and inspire how architecture is conceived today.
