    About the Book

    Edit

This stunning collection of powerful and evocative images of India and her people presents the unique vision of Canadian photographer Cameron MacMaster. It is a close-up look at Indians as they are today - as they struggle daily with the challenges of everyday life in the sweltering, over-crowded cities of the sub-continent.

These 152 emotionally raw and painfully revealing photographs allow us a fleeting glimpse inside the lives of these common, everyday people - the ones you see on the street all around you, and the little ones you hardly notice. They show a side of Indian life we rarely get to see, and provide a unique perspective on the inimitable spirit, character, and humanity that can only be India.

    Cameron MacMaster
    Toronto, Ontario, Canada

After nearly 20 years as a professional dancer and choreographer, Cameron MacMaster retired from dance and returned to Toronto to pursue his first love – photography - and to focus his creative energies on establishing himself and his company, Froz’n Motion Photography. MacMaster specializes in wedding and engagement photography, which he absolutely loves, and adores his maternity and portrait work. His clients rave about the high quality and creativity behind his work and never fail to mention how relaxed and easy to work with he is. He spends thousands of hours a year wandering the streets of downtown Toronto, Canada and has amassed a dazzling collection of the City’s colourful streets and magnificent architecture. An avid travel buff, he has traveled and photographed extensively throughout Canada, the US, Hong Kong, China, Mexico, Jamaica, Cuba, Europe, Israel, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Island of Bali, but loves India the most.
