    About the Book

    Edit

Aaron G. Green, F.A.I.A.. (1917 - 2001), was a creative and well respected architect in San Francisco. He was an associate of Frank Lloyd Wright; his office was also Wright's West Coast office. In addition to working on Wright's projects he had a long and productive career practicing organic architecture on a diverse array of projects.

Even in his youth he demonstrated superb artistic ability. This culminated in his acceptance at Cooper Union in New York, where he discovered Wright's work and immediately decided to pursue a career in architecture.

All throughout his career he continued to do calligraphy, illustrations and graphic designs. This book collects all of these going back to huge posters he did for the local movie theater when he was in college. This two-dimensional work shows how his artistic creativity was the foundation for his unique architectural style.
