    About the Book

    Edit

This is a girl’s story, told in her own voice, as it was viewed through vivid memories and the eyes of that child. She traces her steps, as if in a Dot-to-Dot book, to create a picture of lines showing the map of a childhood lost. There is a “behind closed door” look into the everyday life of a vagabond family trapped in poverty, and alone within their world of dysfunction. You will see the heart and mind of “everyone’s child,” from her intimate viewpoint, as she longs for the home left behind. The reader will be transported into another time and place, to witness the relentless fallout of three wars and the depression, as you journey into that girl’s FUN HOUSE perspective. Once you have looked through the window into her life, it will be difficult to turn away. Follow the footprints, hold her hand and listen to her talk. Come away knowing that you, too, are a STRANGER friend, who helped that girl, in her search for SELF.
