    Edit

Abram Wilson was a charismatic New Orleans jazz trumpeter and educator who came to London, UK in 2002. He made a huge impact on jazz in the UK and inspired many young jazz musicians with his talent, knowledge and enthusiasm. Tragically he died in 2012 at the age of only 38. This book by music photographer Howard Denner charts his progress from playing in small bars through to prestigious venues like the Barbican Centre as well as showing him leading workshops for young musicians. The book ends with his New Orleans-style jazz memorial service in London on 25 July 2012 with many jazz musicians, including Wynton Marsalis, parading through the streets to the church.
