Buzz and Luanne Mandeville have produced a rich heritage of their skiing days. Buzz’s stories start with the early times at Lake Tahoe over 70 years ago, jumping and racing events, ski patrolling, ski instructing and race coaching. Luanne’s ski experiences began near Squaw Valley when she was nine years old. At age 12, she attended the Squaw Valley Winter Olympics, not knowing that Buzz was a professional ski patrolman on the hill.

Several years later, they met at Alpine Meadows, both ski patrolling at the time. The skiing experiences, adventures and work in the ski business continued for many years, including raising their ski-racer children and now enjoying their four skiing grandchildren.

Ski resorts, equipment and techniques have changed, but the pleasures to be had from skiing have not. Get out there, enjoy every moment and make your own memories!
