    About the Book

    Edit

A Northern English Beat Novel, dealing with the authentic experience of the smalltown teenage freak: sex, drugs and rock n' roll, and the faltering quest for spiritual enlightenment.

WE ARE THE BAD RABBITS, AND WE SHALL OVERCOME chronicles the adventures of the titular psychedelic-gothic garage-punk band, stuck in the valleys and council estates of smalltown West Yorkshire in the summer of 1990, through the eyes of Vic, returning from his first unsteady year at a London Polytechnic. Vic and Arthur Meek- the Bad Rabbits' frail, eccentric, one-eyed singer- experience the joys and terrors of LSD, stagger drunkenly from pub to party to free festival, chase the vibe of the eternal NOW, and look for love in all the wrong places.
