About the Book
Tootsietoy dollhouse furniture is made of metal, small and bright, perfectly capturing the essence of 1920s design. Dowst, the parent company, also offered a series of cardboard dollhouses to accompany the furniture. The success of the line prompted other companies to produce small scale dollhouses with enough rooms to accommodate the many different Tootsietoy sets. Some of these are identified for the first time in this book. The furniture is still findable today and works well in a variety of dollhouses. This is the 21st volume in a series about American dollhouses and furniture.
