About the Creator
Born in Torino, Italy, in 1989, Piermarco Raimondo grew up far from the tide, yet found himself drawn to the sea. What began as a traveler’s curiosity blossomed into a lifelong obsession with Europe’s coastal sentinels. For Piermarco, lighthouses are more than just stone and glass; they are unique characters with their own lives, colors, and stories, united by a singular, noble purpose: to guide and protect. Driven by a background in scouting and a passion for the natural world, he captures the harmony between these "solitary guardians" and the coastal environments they protect. In 2025, he transitioned from a 9 to 5 job to a full-time expedition to document some of Europe’s most iconic and secluded lighthouses.
