About the Book
For the past three years, artist Jill Dalton has been creating a series of found object sculpture-puppets called Foundlings, and poet Megan Grumbling has been writing poems about them.
Now, images of the resulting 12+ sculptures, along with the poems that they inspired, have been collected in a small intimate monograph called Foundlings.
This book launches in conjunction with the exhibit “Detritus” at Mayo Street Arts in Portland Maine, in which some of these sculptures and poems will be on display. The exhibit opened on February 6, 2026 and will run through the end of February.
