    About the Book

    Edit

Nikolai Kossikoff (1898-1972) was a Russian industrial photographer known for his dramatic, modernist images of the Port of Ghent (Belgium), especially his work around 1935. He is recognized for a distinctive style that combined modernist compositions with pictorialist printing techniques, often using high-contrast, darker prints with deep blacks and unique viewpoints to capture the monumental scale of industrial machinery.
