About the Book
Photography exists in a state of tension. All at once, it works as an instrument of desire and suspicion. It reveals and hides, observes and intrudes. In CREEP!, I lean into this paradox, exploring what it means to watch others, when they do not or cannot watch back. I explore the world of stalking. My project explores staged voyeurism, suspense, and the collapse of boundaries between performance and documentation Everyone is always being watched, whether it is social media, the imaginaries of others, or a stalker. CREEP! exaggerates this to reveal its absurdity and fear, it is less about the subject and more about the psychology of looking and being watched. What does it mean to access someone else’s world?
