About the Book
Rome is famous for the great beauty of its palaces and roman ruins. But a more intimate, small beauty can be found in many corners of this fascinating city. These images are inspired by the 'disappeared Rome' watercolours of Roesler Franz and by the impressionistic images of Saul Leiter, Renzo's favourite if unattainable point of reference in photography, with his search for beauty in the small things.

About the Creator
Renzo Rizzo
Roma, Italia
Photography is my way to see better, also those things that we normally don't notice. There are two ideas that inspire my approach. The first is to "find beauty in the most unimportant things" (Saul Leiter) and the second is "giving dignity to things beyond the hasty judgement of those who never really look at anything" (Luigi Ghirri). I exhibited my photographs in several shows in Rome and at Trieste Photo Days and I followed courses on reportage, portraits and urban landscape. A lot of my photos are shot in Rome, which is also the subject of my two self published books.
