Wounds of Light
Collective Photography Book by Visione Oltre

Inspired by the poet Giuseppe Ungaretti, who once described his verses as “wounds of light”—this collective volume gathers the works of photographers selected through the Visione Oltre open call.

In each image, light becomes both subject and metaphor: an element that reveals, burns, heals, and transforms. The photographs in Wounds of Light explore the fragile balance between illumination and shadow, visibility and silence, presence and absence.

This book is not simply a collection of images, but a dialogue among artists from different backgrounds who share a common sensitivity: the awareness that every photograph is born from a fracture, an encounter between the visible and the invisible.

Printed and curated by Visione Oltre, Wounds of Light continues the project’s mission to give space to emerging voices in contemporary photography, transforming open calls into tangible books and collective journeys of vision.
