Rendezvous at Grand Portage is a tradition which goes back almost three centuries. Initially it was a matter of business where the owners of the North West Company could meet with their trading post managers from the interior of Canada, while their voyageur paddlers exchanged trade goods from Montreal with beaver pelts. Today the tradition continues not for business, but for the love of History and the community and friendships this common interest has created. Today, Rendezvous is a family affair.
