About the Creator
Phillip Mayhew was born in a small town in Kansas in 1952. At the early age of 10, Phillip’s mother bought him his first camera. Thus, his interest in photography grew. Growing up he spent his time photographing his family and friends. In 1971, Phillip joined the US Navy and was stationed on the island of Guam. With the Island being small and not much to do, he found that the Navy Special Services Department was offering classes on how to develop Black and White Photography pictures. Later, he would learn to develop color films with a 4-step process. Now approaching his later stages in life with children grown he has decided that life is an adventure. With the advent of Digital Cameras and social media, he has sought out new pathways to share that adventure with others. Starting a few years ago with the purchase of his first DSLR camera, Phillip has been slowly developing new techniques and learning the ropes of photography. In 2020,
