About the Book
Izu is the peninsular located 100km southwest of Tokyo and is two-thirds the size of Tokyo. Izu is known for its hot springs and abundant produce. Its diverse nature has been recognized as a UNESCO Geopark and given the status of Fuji Hakone Izu National Park. As environmentalists/nature lovers, this photobook captures the nature one encounters during daily life in Izu. The 172 pages of photos have been collected over 10 years, and it covers all four seasons. The artwork represents sea views, lakes, forests, trees, flowers, mountains, rivers, nature paths, parks, fields of Japanese pampas grass and the sky which are all characteristics of Izu. We hope that readers will feel comforted through these images. AI is not used to create any of the artworks.
