About the Book
During the month of February 2025 the author submitted ten posts on Facebook documenting the history of the 1902/1903 Davis/Parker true-circular barn in Grand Isle, Vermont. This famous barn is being considered for destruction because the current owners consider it too expensive to fix the roof and that they want to redevelop the land and buildings associated with the barn. The purpose of the Facebook posts was to generate interest in saving this barn. This book summarizes the history of this unique, beautiful structure and why it is important to save this one-of-a-kind building and one of the last remaining true round barns in Vermont.
