    About the Book

    Edit

David K John, a traditional Diné (Navajo) artist, paints from his heart nizhóní (beautiful) Corn Pollen Way masterpieces representing Yeis (Holy People) like no other.

The author has been drawn to these works for many years and is honored to have acquired a significant collection of these paintings which are now enthroned within a shrine room.

Each of the 28 paintings presented was photographed outdoors to capture the brilliant spectrum of colors and radiant glow that these paintings are known for and then printed on premium lustre paper to create the most realistic reproductions possible. In addition, an addendum of three of his clay pieces in the collection are also presented.

The entire volume is enhanced with the author's graphic design package throughout and is bound with a handsome hardcover exterior including a stunning artwork representing Spider Woman, weaver of creation, on the rear.

The author does not feel like an owner but rather a steward of these deeply spiritual works that walk in beauty.

    San Jose, California

Since childhood, Michael has had a fascination with all things beautiful, majestic & resplendent. He pursues many interests in the visual, graphic & performing arts and lives in San Jose, an ethnically and culturally diverse region of California, which has enhanced his primary interests in Asian, Buddhist & Native cultural arts. He has found a passion for creating spiritual art and capturing magical scenes with photography. Many of his pieces contain subject matter or are of a style never attempted before by others. He loves his art! Many of his own works hang in his home, and he wears it too. He hopes his artwork & photography inspires others to follow their dreams, turn their lives into a meaningful existence and create in beauty!
