    About the Book

    Edit

Timicheg was one of the Bontoc Igorots from the Philippines who were displayed in the so-called Philippine or Igorot Village, a human zoo at the World Exhibition in Ghent 1913. There he died as a result of the harsh living conditions. A century later the Belgian city gave his name to a new tunnel as part of a broader project at the train station Gent Sint-Pieters. (English and Dutch)
