About the Book
This is a softcover version of the curated collection of 164 images in both color and black / white, celebrates the artistry and power of winter. These images capture the beauty as ice breaks up and the wind piles it on shore, icicles drip, frost forms on trees, snow melts leaving a reflective surface, ice caves are created by blowing and freezing surf, and sand and snow mixes on the shores of the Great Lakes. While the photographer sometimes captures the “grand view”, more often her creative eye expresses the simplicity and details in the winter landscape. 163 pages.

Photography began as a hobby for me when my girls were young. Then, after 30 years in public service I began an encore career in wedding photography. I enjoyed that immensely for six years, until I realized that planning my life a year in advance was interfering with my retirement. Now I do the occasional gallery show, but mostly I capture images for myself.
