    About the Book

    Edit

"19 in between" is the story of one's life under the heavy restriction, It is an attempt of the author to fabricate a narrative around what can be counted as short and long term effect of Covid restrictions. Although the real impact of Covid may still be debated for generations to come, these images may be a contribution to the understanding of how fragile our normal lives may be and how interconnected we are on our common planet.

By practice, I am an economist and researcher, and at the same time self-taught photographer based in Europe. I was born in the capital of Iran, Tehran. During the Iran-Iraq war, I moved to Gorgan with my family. I spent most of my childhood and teenage time in Gorgan where I completed my bachelor’s program at a university. I discover my passion for storytelling and photography at the age of 28 soon after living in Italy. The early results of my pictures in the street got me to a talent festival in Bologna and performing a photo project in the fashion faculty of the University of Bologna. I found myself more comfortable in documentary and street photography. Listening to the different stories and reading about different human conditions is the most inspiration in my photography journey. I am mostly working on improving my photography craftsmanship by studying and following my self-assigned projects.
