The Luberon in France is full of mystery in one form or another.

The aim of this book has been to show some of the mystery that still exist in the Luberon and «Luberon Mysterieux» has brought me to a number of locations around the Luberon during 2021 and 2022 in search of this mystery. My passion for landscape photography for over 30 years has helped me to record these memories of mystery.

There are two Luberons: the mountain that bears this name and its media aura. A mountain that would have remained secret, a "land of mystery in full daylight" as in the novels of Bosco and in the chosen region of Camus, but also "reinvented countryside" under the effect of an astonishing phenomenon, essentially media based. A new contemporary myth? An emblem too often used as a brand by real estate agents and tour operators, which profoundly disguises reality and upsets the inhabitants. This double portrait, contrasting and burlesque, is therefore unfair and a simplification.
