About the Creator
My creative photographic practices have strong political / social undertones, with a professional background in Local Govt and HE. These experiences, together with a PhD on the human impact of privatisation of public services, underline the importance of human interaction in the environment/society Using an experimental documentary style, my visual strategies are to be inventive in approach with stroing links to written narrative. Double exposures/layering aim to spark curiosity. Emotional undertones are evident in my instinctive approaches to location and subject. As a social documentary photographer, I have published articles / solo exhibitions. I have been successful in several competitions; shortlisted in the International Photographic Awards 2024 & 2025 My key aspiration in life as a photographer is to inspire debate into the environmental, political and human impacts of issues at the forefront of society.
