About the Book
In this his fourth book Joachim Haux covers the year of 2020. A year in which the world was struck by the Corona-virus and the Covid-disease. Something that has affected the work of all street photographers even if they only are hobbyists. As in the previous books the content of the book mirrors his Instagram account.

Because of Corona most of the photos are from Joachim's hometown of Nybro and nearby Kalmar. Some from Stockholm. Few from other places such as Croatia and Germany. Most photos are from 2020 but not all, none older than 2017. The collection mirrors a year in which travels were rare, events and festivals few and with a lot of social distance.

Joachim Haux took his first photographs using his fathers old Yashica in the 1970's. He bought his first own camera, a Nikon F-301 SLR 1989 and has since then been a hobby photographer. Occasionally published, e.g. in the Swedish magazine FOTO (discontinued 2015), Joachim also did the cover for the brochure introducing "Xperimenthuset" in Växjö in the 1990's. Joachim Haux lives in Nybro, Sweden, and shoots with a Sony A7R2 and a Panasonic Lumix GX9, with wide-angle, normal or short tele lenses. Joachim Haux showcases photos at Instagram on accounts @photos.by.yocce and @streets.by.yocce. In Swedish "Jocke" is a short form of Joachim. Since "Jocke" usually already is taken as an online username, Joachim created the "Yocce" alias. "Yocce" is a wordplay of "Jocke". My main interest is street photography. I try to shoot candid moments, if possible with a humorous touch. I like to give my photos a title, also with a humorous touch - if appropriate. Respect of the subject is important.
